After a hot few weeks of creative pressure, why not let off some steam at Abovegroup for our latest instalment of Show & Tell?

Duane Dove / Rum & Chocolate
Born and raised in Trinidad & Tobago, sommelier Duane spent several years living in Europe and North America before settling in Sweden. Having an extensive background in the food and beverage industry, Duane saw the need to rejuvenate the cocoa industry and established the Tobago Cocoa Estate W.I Ltd. in 2005. His custom designed rum glass Cane Tulip (designed for sipping rum) will be available for purchase at the event if that tickles your fancy.

You’ll be welcome to experience this magical mix for yourself, thanks to a little help from our friends at Angostura.  Should be fun…

John Stollmeyer / Permaculture
A born Trinidadian, Johnny moved to Canada and studied Fine Arts at the University of Western Ontario in the 1970s. After stints working on his family cocoa estate and apprenticing under Canada’s highly acclaimed contemporary furniture maker Michael Fortune, Johnny returned to Trinidad in 1993, began promoting permaculture and became involved with the Fondes Amandes-A reforestation project.

What is permaculture? Why would you want to do it anyway? Johnny’s got the answers.

Show & Tell is a monthly(ish) event hosted by Abovegroup at their studio in Building 7, Fernandes Industrial Centre.
