Abovegroup presents Show & Tell partnering with Studio film club
A series of creative presentations and conversations
7-30 p.m Thursday 4th April 2009
Being in the Creative Industries in Trinidad & Tobago can be a lonely experience. We go through our days, pushed on by deadlines, clients, pitching for work, existing in little pockets but rarely venturing out.
How often do we actually get to talk to one another about the things that we are really interested in? For a group of people that have so much in common, not enough.
We’d like to propose a monthly event, with a short presentation each session by at least one group or individual on a point of interest in any of the following disciplines:
Graphic Design / Photography / Advertising / Branding / Writing / Poetry / Illustration / Architecture / Interior Design / Furniture Design / Landscape Architecture / Urban Planning / Typography / Identity / Chocolate Blending / Spirit Blending / Publishing / Fashion Design / Retail Design / Jewellery / Sculpture / Music / Film / Animation / Fine Arts / just about anything else
Work can be commercial, non-commercial, published, conceptual, personal, whatever. Something that you’d like to share and discuss.
As you can see this is still in its formative stages, and we’d love it if you came along on Thursday’s soft launch to chat about how this can evolve.
Drinks are on offer, music by the Amateurs.
